Tutor Agreement

Role and Nature of Engagement​

​By joining EduLink, you acknowledge that you are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or representative of EduLink. You are solely responsible for managing your time, preparing materials, delivering lessons, reporting income to relevant authorities, and complying with local tax laws. EduLink does not provide employment benefits, insurance, or compensation outside of your earned fees. EduLink reserves the right to approve, suspend, or remove tutors at its sole discretion based on performance, policy violations, inactivity, or student/parent complaints.

Tutor Responsibilities​

​As a tutor on EduLink, you agree to arrive on time and conduct sessions at the scheduled start and end times; come fully prepared with lesson plans, worksheets, examples, and all materials needed for an effective session; deliver high-quality instruction consistent with the subject(s) you are approved to teach; communicate professionally with students and parents; maintain a stable internet connection, working camera, microphone, and appropriate teaching environment; update your availability regularly and honour accepted bookings; and report scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or absences to EduLink immediately. Failure to maintain professionalism may result in removal.

Session Conduct & Professional Behaviour​

Tutors must behave in a manner appropriate for an educational setting. This includes treating students with respect, patience, and fairness; using appropriate language; maintaining a positive environment; dressing modestly; and refraining from personal discussions. Tutors must not contact students or parents outside the platform unless explicitly approved. Harassment, discrimination, inappropriate communication, or unprofessional conduct may result in immediate termination.

Attendance, Cancellations, and Rescheduling​

Tutors must honour all confirmed bookings. If cancellation is necessary, you must notify EduLink as early as possible, ideally 24 hours before the session. Repeated cancellations (more than two per month) may result in suspension. If you fail to attend a session without notice, the parent will receive a full refund and you will not be compensated. EduLink expects tutors to maintain a low cancellation rate.

Tutor Payments​

Tutors will be compensated according to agreed onboarding rates. Payment may be issued via bank transfer, MMG, or other approved regional options. EduLink deducts its administrative fee from each session or package before disbursing earnings. EduLink does not guarantee income or reimburse materials, internet, or equipment. Tutors must ensure their payment details are correct.

Intellectual Property & Materials

​All worksheets, slides, recordings, and materials you create remain your intellectual property unless otherwise agreed. By uploading materials to EduLink, you grant a limited license for display to enrolled students. Tutors may not use EduLink recordings or content for personal promotion or distribution. EduLink-provided curriculum must not be shared or sold.

Use of Technology & Recording Policy

​Some sessions may be recorded for quality, safety, or playback purposes. By tutoring on the platform, you consent to being recorded when applicable. Tutors may not independently record sessions or save recordings. Tutors must use the required meeting platform properly, maintaining stable internet, quiet environments, functional audio/video, and correct security controls. Repeated technical issues may result in account review.

Communication With Students and Parents

​All communication must occur through EduLink-approved channels. Tutors must not exchange personal phone numbers, social media accounts, or private contacts unless pre-approved. Tutors must respond to inquiries respectfully and promptly. Rude or unprofessional communication is prohibited.

Safety & Reporting Obligations

Tutors must provide a safe environment for minors. Any inappropriate behaviour, academic dishonesty, or safety concerns must be reported to EduLink immediately. Tutors may not engage in private messaging with minors beyond what is necessary for class instruction. Sessions should occur in safe, supervised settings.

Account Suspension or Termination

EduLink may suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations, poor performance, inappropriate behaviour, repeated cancellations, misuse of materials, misuse of the platform, confidentiality breaches, or failure to comply with this Agreement. Termination may occur without prior notice in cases involving safety concerns.

Confidentiality

Tutors must keep all student information confidential, including names, academic performance, communications, and any sensitive details. Information may not be used for personal gain or shared with third parties.

Modifications to This Agreement

EduLink may update this Agreement periodically. Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued tutoring constitutes acceptance of any updates.
