Session & Usage Data – We track class schedules, attendance history, uploaded assignments or materials, communication between parents/students and tutors and session recordings (where applicable). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, performance data, and cookies for analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your personal information enables us to operate and enhance our learning platform. We use it to:

  • Process bookings, manage scheduling, and facilitate live and recorded classes.

  • Communicate with you regarding session confirmations, reminders, updates, support and promotional offers.

  • Assign appropriate tutors based on subject and grade level, tracking student progress and platform quality.

  • Improve our services by analysing aggregated, anonymised data so we can refine teaching materials, interface and user experience.

  • Ensure compliance with our codes of conduct, enforce policies, manage refund requests, and address disputes.

3. Sharing Your Information

EduLink does not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information only in limited circumstances:

Tutors – To enable tutoring sessions, tutors receive essential details such as student name, grade level, session date/time, and any materials uploaded for the class. Tutors are contractually obliged to keep this information confidential.

Payment Processors & Service Providers – To facilitate payments, Zoom classes, email notifications, analytics and hosting, we share data with trusted third-party service providers. These parties are contractually bound to handle your data securely.

Legal & Safety Requirements – We may disclose information if required by law, in response to legal process, to protect the rights or safety of users, or to comply with regulatory obligations.

Some live classes may be recorded for the purposes of quality assurance, safety monitoring, or to provide playback access. By using EduLink, you consent to being recorded when applicable. Recordings are stored securely and accessible only to authorised users and the enrolled student. You must not record, redistribute or share materials without written permission. Any unauthorised distribution may result in suspension or termination of access.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technology

These may track your preferences, login sessions, usage metrics, device type, browser settings and site performance. You may adjust browser settings to reject cookies, but this may limit functionality and user experience on our platform.

6. Data Security & Retention

We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), secure server storage, restricted access rights and regular security audits. While we strive to keep your information safe, no internet transmission is completely secure. We retain personal data only as long as necessary for service delivery, legal obligations, dispute resolution and record-keeping. If you request account deletion, we will remove your profile and user data subject to verification and any applicable legal requirements.
